Troubleshooting

If Horizon won't connect or runs slowly — start here.

Wont connect

  1. Check your subscription. Sign into the dashboard — it must be active.
  2. Refresh the profile. Copy the current vless://… string and re-import, overwriting the old one.
  3. Try a different node. If Germany is down for you, try Netherlands or France. A single location should not block you entirely.
  4. Check device time. TLS 1.3 is sensitive to clock drift above ~5 minutes — enable auto-sync.

Slow speed

  • The closest node is almost always fastest. For Europe from Russia that is usually Estonia/Poland, not France.
  • Evening peak hours can load a channel. Try another node.
  • If speed tanks suddenly — check for an antivirus or backup running in the background.

DNS leak

Open dnsleaktest.com in Extended mode. Every responding resolver should belong to Horizon. If your ISPs resolver shows up, enable "Block DNS leaks" in the client.

A site works, the app does not

Some apps use their own HTTPS stack and ignore the system VPN. The fix is to enable the clients system-VPN mode (if supported) or use split tunneling.
