What Horizon VPN can do

A modern protocol, a carefully-run infrastructure and a set of baseline guarantees that many competitors prefer to lock behind a more expensive "pro" tier.

Protocol

VLESS + Reality — in plain words

VLESS is a modern tunneling protocol designed as a lighter, more flexible successor to the ideas behind Vmess and Shadowsocks. It doesn't try to look like a "classical VPN" — and that's the point: OpenVPN and WireGuard traffic has recognisable signatures that modern filtering systems detect easily.

Reality is an extension on top of VLESS that disguises the connection as genuine HTTPS traffic to a real, well-known website. From a network observer's point of view, a Horizon channel is indistinguishable from an ordinary request to a major western service.

In practice, where classical VPN protocols have stopped working, Horizon usually still gets through. There's no magic involved: it's simply a more modern tool built for the networks we actually have today.

The Russia node runs VLESS without Reality for technical reasons — a full write-up of why is available in the docs.

What's inside

Baseline guarantees — on by default

Kill Switch

If the VPN tunnel drops unexpectedly, system traffic is blocked until it recovers — your real IP doesn't even flash for a second.

No-logs policy

No connection history, no visited domains, no client IP addresses, no DNS queries. Details are in our privacy policy.

DNS leak protection

DNS resolution happens inside the tunnel against our resolvers. Your ISP sees neither your queries nor the domains you visit.

IPv6 & WebRTC leak protection

Apps block the side channels that usually "leak" the real IP — IPv6 and WebRTC.

Encryption

TLS 1.3 with modern cipher suites (X25519 / AES-128-GCM / ChaCha20-Poly1305). No legacy RC4, no TLS 1.0.

Split tunneling

Per-app and per-domain split tunneling: some traffic through the VPN, some directly. Handy for banking apps and local services.

Speed

Honest unlimited traffic on 10 Gbps uplinks

Each Horizon node is hosted in a vetted datacenter with a 10 Gbps uplink. We don't oversubscribe past what the channel can actually deliver — so there's no "fair use" clause and no throttling for heavy users.

4K streaming, video calls and gaming work as usual. The only speed limits are your own line and the physical distance to the node you pick.
