FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Brief answers to what people ask before subscribing and in the first few days.
General
What is Horizon VPN?
An official VPN service built on the modern VLESS + Reality protocol. Servers in multiple countries and a single subscription that covers every device you own.
How is Horizon different from big VPN brands?
A small but honest infrastructure, and a focus on a protocol that actually works in restricted networks. We don't promise "5,000 servers in 100 countries" or build marketing around loud claims.
Is this legal in my country?
Laws vary. VPNs are legal in most countries, but we ask you to follow local laws — see the terms of use.
Does Horizon support torrents and streaming?
Yes. Unlimited traffic with no type-based restrictions. Some streaming services detect VPN IPs and may block them — that's a service-side restriction, not ours.
How many devices can I connect?
One subscription — all your devices. No artificial cap.
What are VLESS and Reality?
Modern open-source protocols. VLESS is a lightweight tunneling protocol; Reality is a masking layer that makes traffic look like real HTTPS. Details in the docs.
What's the server bandwidth?
10 Gbps uplink in every datacenter. Horizon does not throttle.
Billing and plans
What plan lengths are available?
1, 6 and 12 months. Longer terms have a lower per-month price.
Is there a free trial?
We don't offer a fully free trial, but refunds are available under the refund policy.
What payment methods do you accept?
The final list is being confirmed — it will appear on the pricing page.
Is auto-renewal on by default?
No. You can turn it on in the dashboard if you prefer.
Can I change plan mid-term?
Yes. Contact support — we'll pro-rate the remainder.
Can I pay with cryptocurrency?
The final answer on crypto methods will appear on the pricing page alongside the other rails.
Technical & connection
Which location should I pick?
For speed — the closest one geographically. For regional blocks — any European location (Germany, Netherlands, France).
Does Horizon work on corporate networks?
Most of the time — yes, thanks to Reality. Deep-packet-inspection networks can be an exception.
What happens on a connection drop?
The app reconnects automatically. If the issue persists, try switching location or protocol in settings.
Can I use Horizon on a Smart TV?
Direct installation on a TV is not supported yet. Workaround: if the TV firmware accepts a VLESS profile, set it up there — otherwise use a separate client device on the same network.
What DNS does Horizon use?
Our own resolvers inside the tunnel. DNS leak protection is on by default.
How do I verify the VPN is working?
Open a site like ifconfig.me or whatismyip.com — the IP should match your Horizon location.
Privacy & security
Do you keep logs?
We don't store connection history, visited sites or DNS queries. The technical minimum is documented in the privacy policy.
Do you share data with third parties?
No. We don't sell or share user data. Lawful requests are governed by the jurisdiction of our registration — see about.
What happens on tunnel drop?
Kill Switch blocks internet traffic until the VPN recovers — the real IP doesn't flash.
Is it safe on public Wi-Fi?
Yes. All traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3 until it leaves the hotel/café network — MITM on that network is not possible.
Apps
When will the official apps ship?
We're working on them; the exact date will be announced on the download page.
What should I use while the apps are in development?
Any compatible VLESS + Reality client: v2rayNG (Android), Streisand (iOS), Nekoray (Windows/Linux), Hiddify (macOS). A connection profile is provided in the dashboard.
Will there be App Store and Google Play versions?
Yes, that's a priority. Sideloaded APK and .ipa will also be available for enthusiasts.
Is there a browser extension?
Not yet. The VPN runs at the system level and covers all traffic, browsers included.
